It is a great achievement that EIST got it’s impact factor!
At the same time, it is also important to note that there are many factors that should influence our decision to choose a journal. For myself, I frequently choose EIST because it is well read in the transitions community.

The impact factor as such is a very simple metric, which says little if anything about the quality of the papers. For a more comprehenseive debate on journal metrics and impact factors see e.g. Ben Martin, Research Policy 2016, p.1-7.
