For example house your SDR LNA in a weatherproof housing and run usb cable to indoors. There is loss in running lengths of coax but no signal loss in running USB cable!

(Please correct me if wrong).

So far the L-band patch antenna, dongle, and pre-amp (from Amazon store) seem to be working very well on the L-band. However am using a homebrew L-band circular polarized antenna along with a 33 inch Ku band dish to see how that works, and am using RG/6 as a feedline into the shack. If the signal is strong enough at the dish and with low-loss RG/6 with a 30 foot run hopefully the dongle & preamp can be kept in the shack.

I have had the Outernet DIY CHIP LNA E4000 going for about 10 days and I agree with everything you wrote.

This is a amazing system and I feel it will change remote information and news access forever.

I hope Outernet can create a broadcast balance between commercial success and user benefit and satisfaction.

The things I would like to see in 20mb a day, are.

Ticker news service.
RSS Feeds.
News webpages.
Possibly text only webpages of popular webpages.
Encrypted Text only send of my emails. I.e. when I receive a gmail, it gets resent over Outernet as a stripped, text only email.
60 second news summary micro Video. I think the BBC android app has this.
Weather app.
Grib weather files for Mariners at sea.
Finance money rates.
Books are not that important to me.
